About

Salam, I’m Maria. I love coffee. I was born in December in the City of Lights in Pakistan. Maybe that is why I love everything that lights up. An optometrist once told me that I’m “legally blind,” so you’ll almost always find me looking through a pair of contacts. My favorite thing to do is write about life, my faith, and my thoughts. My faith is the most important element of my life, so you’ll see references to Islam quite a lot. I’m not sorry.

Though I currently live in Virginia, I consider myself a Texan. I am playing Scrabble all the time. The littlest things in life can make me starry-eyed, especially children. You can almost always find me typing away on my laptop. I’m 20 years young and still have no hardcore plan set out in my life. However, I am absolutely sure of one thing: I will publish a novel in the near future. I am absolutely in love with Mickey Mouse and teddy bears. I like to believe that everyone has background music playing behind their lives – all you need is a pair of headphones.

I am a proud Patriot at George Mason University with the intent of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in English. I am also minoring in Information Technology and Graphic Design. The thing I want most in the world is to work with little kids.

Most of my best writing is produced at the ungodly hours of the night when everyone else is asleep. I love web developing and continue to learn more each day. I mainly want to impact those who find education to be just a dream and turn it into reality for them. I am obsessed with English literature… I love dissecting pieces of writing that speak to me and make sure to gain insight from the handpicked words so carefully composed. Lately, I’ve really been into lipstick and the color red. No, I am not in love. Yet.

I feel like life is one of the easiest tests if you use the cheating books available to your advantage. I love Taylor Swift – one of my favorite writers of today. I don’t like when people think certain materials define them when all that matters in the end is their character. I love to travel. Take me anywhere and I’ll make my experiences into a work of art. I cherish absolutely everyone that I’ve met and continue to strive to be the best I can be. I believe there is always enough time to take in a deep breath, take a step back, evaluate, and learn.

I am so excited about the upcoming life that awaits us all inshaAllah. But mostly, I am grateful. I am especially grateful to all those who took a few minutes out of their day to read this. Thank you. I can only hope that you continue to stay with me and read one or two more posts. Hopefully if you like what you read, maybe you can stick around & hang out more often? Please leave me comments. Your words matter to me. With each piece of feedback and criticism, you’ll mold me closer to the impossible perfection we all strive for. And also keep me in your prayers and I’ll keep you in mine. I love you all.
